Hermes Flagship Store in San Francisco with Touches from GC Products Inc.
Hermes International is known for high end fashion and luxury. For their San Francisco flagship store, GC Products was brought on by Swinerton Builders to help achieve the high-end architecture that matches the high-end brand.
GC Products manufactured over 130 custom molds to cast the necessary Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG) columns, light coves, and architectural features. In addition to manufacturing all of the architectural GFRG, GC Products also utilized the machined precision of their custom-built CNC machine to provide framing templates for all of the radiuses.
Swinerton Builders then used the templates to frame the radiuses and install the GFRG. The end result was an award-winning project that matched Hermes’ standard of luxury.
