The difference between GFRC and GRC is nothing. They both refer to the same material. The reason that there are two separate acronyms is because of variations of the term “glass fiber”:
- Glassfibre Reinforced Cement (GRC)
- Glass Fiber Reinforced Cement (GFRC)
The former is the British spelling, but the acronym is still used in the United States by some builders since the product is frequently referred to by only an acronym.
Because both are the same material, they are both defined as cement, water, glass fiber, and other safe chemicals. The glass fiber is also alkali resistant (AR) which extends its lifespan and is suitable for use in concrete.
